  34.     In most cases running the install script should be sufficient.
  35.  
  36.     However if you don't use the wps or want to start TaskBox( or the clock) from a
  37. command prompt you may want to add the directory that the files are contained in to
  38. the libpath and path statements in the config.sys file.
  39.  
  40. 3.  Usage
  41. ---------
  42.  
  43.     I hope you find this program relatively self explanatory, but if you do have a
  44. problem and can't find the solution in this document you can always e-mail me.

  46.     To run the program click on it's icon, or alternaively type TaskBox.

  48. 3.1 Running
  49. -----------

  51.     To run TaskBox double click the WPS icon( or alternatively enter a command prompt and
  52. change to the directory in which TaskBox is contained in( eg cd D:\bin\TaskBox ) and then
  53. type TaskBox ).

  55. 3.2 General
  56. -----------

  58.     To make the TaskBox Visible( or move it to the top if already on screen) move the mouse
  59. over the activation bar .
  60.  
  61.     A mouse button 2( right) click on the TaskBox background will bring up the
  62. TaskBox menu, from which you can choose.
  63.     i)   Lower           --    To Lower the TaskBox
  64.     ii)  Settings        --    Enter the Settings Dialog
  65.     ii)  Quit            --    Quit this program
  66.  
  67.     Click with mouse button 2( the right mouse button ) on a task window
  68. activates the task menu from which you can select various options.
  69.  
  70.     The colours and fonts can be changed by drag 'n' drop.
  71.  
  72.    Clicking a task with mouse button 1( usually the left button), or mouse button 3( or a ctrl
  73. mouse button 1 click) is a short cut to one of task menu options, this can be chosen from
  74. the settings notebook.
  75. NB:  You can also select the tasks by using the arrow keys and enter/space simulates a button 1
  76.      click( or with ctrl for button 3 click). The Task menu for the desired task may achieved
  77.      by first selecting the task you want with the arrow keys and then pressing shift + F10.

  79.    The TaskBox may be moved by holding down the button 2( usually the right mouse button) and
  80. dragging the TaskBox to whereever you want it.
  81.    The TaskBox can be resized like any normal window( i.e. by holding a mouse button down on
  82. the border and dragging it).

  84.     The clock is also a menu( though until I write some modules to take advantage of this
  85.      it's useless ).

  98.     This is used to decide what information appears on the TaskBox.

  100.     Maximum/Minimum width
  101.     ---------------------

  103.       The slider control on this page allows the width of each task window on the TaskBox to
  104.     chosen, it ranges from a minimum value of 44( or 28 if MiniIcons selected) to a maximum of
  105.     whatever the Maximum width spin button displays.
  106.  
  107.     NB: these will be disabled if display is set to Icon only
  108.  
  109.     Button Actions
  110.     --------------
  111.       This group is used to customize the menu shortcuts. For both mouse
  112.     buttons you can choose one of the following options.
  113.  
  114.             (1) Minimize/Restore  --  If window can't be minimized and can be hidden it will
  115.                                         hidden instead
  116.             (2) Maximize/Restore  --
  117.             (3) Switch to.        --  Switch to this task
  118.  
  119.       Mouse button 1( usually the left mouse button) is equivilent to pressing the space( or
  120.     enter) key on the selected task( you can the select the task by using the arrow keys).
  121.       Mouse button 3( the middle mouse button) is equivelent to a Ctrl-Button 1 click.
  122.     ( i.e. holding the control key down and click mouse Button 1( or space/enter).

  131.       The activation bar is the bar( along the bottom of the screen the first time you run
  132.     the program), that causes the TaskBox to be pushed to the front of the screen when the
  133.     mouse moves over it.

  136.     Activation Bar width/height

  139.       This lets you choose the width of the bar.

  142.     TaskBox to edge

  145.       With this option checked the TaskBox will be snapped to the edge of the screen. The
  146.     edge of the screen is same as the Activation Bar.
  147.       Without this option checked the TaskBox will remain in the same position.

  149.     TaskBox Always Visible

  152.       As it says if this is checked the TaskBox will remain visible all the time.
  153.     NB: it does not automatically float to the top so it may be covered by other windows.

  156.     Auto clock flip

  159.         If this is checked the clock will alternate between the time and date.

  162.     Remove List ( the list box )
  163.     -----------
  164.      This contains a list of all the programs that you have chosen to remove
  165.    from the TaskBox.
  166.      By Selecting the tasks and selecting "Remove from list" the task's selected will
  167.    no longer be removed from the TaskBox.

  169. NB:  All TaskBox's settings are saved into TaskBox.ini, so if the worst comes to the
  170. worst you can always delete this file and revert to the default settings, This file can be
  171. located in the same directory as the executable, but it may be hidden.

  173.     The clock doubles up as a menu( though until I write some modules it's useless ).
